RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES
The energy sources used by the company for the production are electricity and natural gas. Speed adopts a district heating system that provides hot water from a cogeneration plant powered by biogas, or methane produced by the bacterial fermentation of organic, vegetable or animal residues.

The plant is located close to the establishment: the hot water produced by the plant is transported through underground pipes to the establishment, where the thermal energy obtained is used for air conditioning, both in the production departments and in the offices.
photovoltaic plant
Speed has also built a photovoltaic system installed over the roofs of the car parks: it has a power of 678 kwp and produces about 820,000 kWh/ year and, in 2020, the plant has allowed a saving of CO2 emissions of about 294 tons.
APIARY PARK SPEED
The goodness of the air in the area is also certified by bees, about 600 thousand distributed in 12 hives. The apiary present in the park of Speed is in fact, based on the mortality of the specimens, an excellent tool to control the pollution of the environment that surrounds the establishment.
